Dr. Lyne Piché is a Psychologist who has worked as a psychologist specializing in sexual issues for 26 years. She received her doctorate degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1998 specializing in the assessment and treatment of sexual dysfunctions and paraphilias. Since 1998, she has provided both assessment and treatment services for men who have committed violent and sexual offenses. She has worked in Canadian federal and provincial correctional settings throughout her career as well as offered youth correctional outpatient services.
She has completed assessments specific to the long term or indefinite incarceration of offenders. She continues to offer forensic services to adults and youths who are involved in the criminal justice system. In addition, she is regularly invited to speak on topics related to sexuality, intimacy, sexual offending and risk assessment.
Dr. Piché has provided sexual therapy, couples counselling, relationship counselling and trauma counselling in her private practice since 2009. Dr. Piché is an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist. She offers psychological services in both French and English. In 2023, she co-authored the book Working with Offenders who View Online Child Sexual Exploitation Images. Her second book released in 2024 is specific to working with neurodivergent clients - ADHD and Sex: A Workbook for Exploring Sexuality and Increasing Intimacy.
