Fees
Fees for psychological therapy services are set in accordance with the current guidelines set by the British Columbia Psychological Association (BCPA).
Forensic assessments including general, violent, and sexual risk assessments are currently billed at an hourly rate and vary depending on the psychologist. Rates for court, parole hearings, and/or other expert consultations can be discussed if requested. A retainer is required for booking.
Psychological assessments, including psychodiagnostic, are billed hourly. Total completion time depends on the type of assessment, complexity of the presenting concerns, referral question(s), psychological testing, interviewing, and report writing. A retainer is required for booking.
Treatment reports include detailed summaries of clients’ treatment gains and progress, including clinical impressions, and can be provided with agreement from clients.
Practice standards recommend payment for services is received the day of the appointment and/or upon receipt of an invoice related to services. Acceptable payment methods include credit card and/or E-transfer.
An electronic receipt is provided typically within 24 hours. Most extended health benefits will provide a partial or full reimbursement. Non-reimbursed fees may also be claimed as medical expenses on personal income tax. We encourage potential clients to consult with their extended health plans for details related to coverage for mental health services.
Our psychological services are accepted by Veterans Affairs Canada, First Nations Health Authority, RCMP (through MedaVie/Pacific Blue Cross), and BCEHS clients (pre-authorization required). Most health insurance covers our services. Please reach out for more information.
We do not offer direct billing at this time.
